As part of purpose to support learning and provide access to information technology and internet, PTK JSC in cooperation with its partner Monaco Telecom and with the support of the Ministry of Education, shall implement a joint project in the field of knowledge and education in the Republic of Kosovo. In under of this programme, PTK JSC shall provide free access and internet service to the schools selected. Monaco Telecom will provide 100 PCs purchased from a local supplier for a total of 30, 000 euro .
The computerization of several schools is a joint project between PTK JSC, Monaco Telecom and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Dr. Shyqyri Haxha, Chief Executive Officer PTK commented “I’m really pleased to attend the signing today. This initiative is part of the implementation of management policy on institutional development and international cooperation. It is a strong sign of PTK, the government and Monaco Telecom to unite to build an efficient education system”.
“Fairness, equality of opportunity for all children and the democratization of knowledge are fundamental values of our education policy. This agreement will allow the Republic of Kosovo to give our young people access to information and new technology, especially as they constitute half of our population”, commented Mr. Enver Hoxhaj, Minister for Education, Science and Technology.
“It has now been 10 years since Monaco Telecom works with PTK to rebuild telecommunications in Kosovo and bring her services and offers quality. We are pleased to partner in this project related to the social world of telecoms and childhood”, commented Reda El-Mejjad Director of Monaco Telecom.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Shyqyri Haxha, Chief Executive Officer PTK, Mr. Enver Hoxhaj, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, and Reda El-Mejjad Director of Monaco Telecom. This signature was completed by a visit in a school.
